So Much to tell,
These past few weeks have been busy, busy, busy for us all. I had spring breake and Grammy and Grandbob came to visit. Maya had her play so that was a plus that Grammy and grandbob were here for that as well. There was disco night, and then Maya and Van's spring break after mine, which made things a little crazy around here, which is normal so it was not so bad. Then we had a wonderful Easter in Kansas City. We will tell you so much more soon, we are all trying to recover and play catch up from all the fun times. Now here is Maya.
Hi: We wrote a student treasure book in my classroom. I was saying funny stuff. Little Van visited my school today for next year and dad ate lunch with me. What have you been doing today? Uncle Neil is coming home soon, did you know? Uncle John gave us Easter treats and baskets. The best part was when we found our Easter baskets. Eggs were all over the place. I hope you are having a great time with the blog.

Last week was one of the busiest and fun weeks to add to all our other fun weeks. Van got to go on a field trip to Kansas city to a dinosaur restaurant. I am still hearing about it today. Lynda was able to surprise Van and show up to his Field trip as well. He was so excited and when I got home from school that evening he as much to say. He talked about the scary dinosaurs and that Lynda came to see him. Brendan was also able to go on his field trip which was a nice treat . We are so blessed to have these moments with our kids and do not take a second of it for granted. We are so lucky to have so many wonderful people like all of you in our lives. We have learned there is nothing in life that compares to having great people in our lives. Anyway, it is a blog so hang in there with my all over the place. Van is go get em boy lately, he has changed so much the past few months. I know, I say this every time I blog, but watching children grow and change is so much fun and sad at the same time. Van is losing his baby belly and legs, and I swear getting taller by the day. No just kidding, but it feels that way some days. Maya has her class play this week and she is so excited she can hardly stand it. We also had disco night at Maya's school this week and we all dressed up in our dangly earrings and bell bottoms and bling. It was a blast. I will put more pics on soon. I need to get some zzzz's it is really late. I should not blog so late, but it helps me get to sleep. Oh and yes I know I miss spelled dinosouar in the slide show sorry.

Hello all-
Maya and I are sitting her together and we are kissing you on the chicken pox. Yes this may sound weird but, hey this is our blog. NO, we do not have the chicken pox!! We went to church today and Maya ate snacks and learned about people all over the world. Um, ah, she does not remember the rest. Van, played hero with his friends at church and ate snacks and sang too.
This weekend was 70 degrees with lots of sun shine. We are supposed to get snow tonight. Bummer. We spent as much time as possible outside. We also snuck in a movie at the dollar theater. We saw Enchanted, which both the kids enjoyed. This evening we went to the library and checked out bug books and videos. That was Maya's mission for the evening and van joined in on that as well. We found a cool body book too, so exciting. Daddy is fixing the tub right now, he made miso soup for dinner. Dad is good.

Hello-
Here are some more pics for ya. We are behind on stalking the kids with the camera lately. Busy, busy we have been or sick with colds. Brendan has been substitute teaching at Maya's school which has been great. The past few months we have watched Maya and Van change soooo much. Maya is reading, writing and doing math problems all of a sudden. It all started clicking for her and now she is always impressing us after school with what she is learning. I love seeing my confident little girl proud of herself. She comes home with a folder full of accomplishments at the end of each week. Maya read her first book on her own cover to cover about three weeks ago and is on to her third book. No one had ever read these books to her before, she did it all on her own. I must be honest I am the proudest mama ever and Brendan is overjoyed too. Van can talk the hind leg off a mule. He is our little actor lately, he loves to dance, sing and pretend just about anything. It is so cute because van is now playing with Maya's friends as well. Maya is a great big sister and does not mind sharing them so far. Van went on a Field trip this week with his school to a chocolate factory and he had the time of his life making chocolate cover apples, strawberries and fingers. This week his school will be going on a Field trip to Kansas city to be tourists, he is so excited, Brendan is going to go with his class too. Well I need to get the family in their beds. Brendan, and Van are sitting next to me on the couch asleep and Maya is playing with Google earth trying to figure out everywhere we need to go before she is six.

Hey yal,
Well I know it has been awhile and I
apologise. We have had one cold after another. Just when we thought it was over
Maya had a fever this evening; so she will be staying home from school tomorrow.
Do not worry it is not the plauge for all of you family members who think the
worst. You all love them so much, I promise we will survive this
cold as well. Anywho I had to pick on you all as well.
So how is everyone? Are you keeping
warm or are you spoiled with sunshine? Hey how is Sanfransico? Tell us about
your christmas we
miss all of you.
We just got back a week ago from a
Wedding in Michigan. One of Brendan's best friends got hitched and Brendan was
in the Wedding. Yikes, he looks good in a tux. We met so many great people at
the wedding whom we hope to keep in touch with. Brendan even got to hang
out with more of his old school buddies it was perfect.
We spent Christmas day with Big Van
and Lynda and Takae and many
more family members. She came all the way from Japan to spend Christmas
it was perfect as always. Before Christmas we also got to see Susie and meet her
boyfriend Jason. They came from New York to Kansas. WOW, we are so blessed
to have so many wonderful people in our lives and that feeling kept us high
throughout the holidays.
Oh and yes, even though our trip was
short to Michigan we snuck in some family time with Brendan's mom,
brother and Step dad, we hung out late into the night and laughed and
talked about the kids, went shopping and exchanged gifts. Thank you Grammy and Grandbob. We saw Brendan's
Dad and Girlfriend and chatted it up, and ate great Indian food, Thank you
Grandpa and GSO.
Even had time in the three days to see Aunt Shelley who also took us out to eat
Indian food and chatted. We can never get enough of the Indian food in
Michigan YUMMMM!!!
Sorry we missed you Uncle Steve we love you too!!!

WELL, WELL:
hope all is well with all of yall. We are having sooo much fun; now that school is out and the holidays are here. We just got our tree up today and will put the lights on the house tomorrow. I will get those pics up as well. We all hung out today and danced and listened to Christmas tunes while we decorated. I wish I could hold onto this day forever, even Kona had a great time watching a Christmas tree being decorated for the first time. Oh yes, Kona is our dog. Well I would write ton's more, but it is one in the morning and I should get some shut eye. Keep checking the blog over the next month. I plan to take lots of picture and make up for the time lost on the blog. Finally I have some time to play.

The Weekend

Hey-
This weekend was great. We have been going, going, going. Maya had a friend stay over this weekend. Well actually it is van's friend too. So they both had a fun sleepover. We rented The Little Mermaid II and blew up the air mattress in the living room and sacked out with popcorn and the movie. I sure will miss these moments with the kids, but I know there are many more wonderful family moments to come. We went to church this morning and heard some of the most beautiful music ever. A talented singer song writer came and sang for us. As you all know music is the best medicine for me and I am sure for Maya as well. Maya is our little singer and hummer. She is always singing these days; even if she does not know the words she makes up her own. Van is still our little dancer and can't resist a good beat. Shake your booty is his favorite thing to sing and dance as soon as he gets out of the shower. Brendan's interview went well and we have our fingers crossed. Brendan and I went to a dinner theater the other night at the high school and it was the perfect evening. Tomorrow is presentation day for me. I am nervous as all get out since my presentation affects two other peoples grades too. Yes, it is a group project. We have a great power point presentation ready to go. But, hey what is life with out a little nervousness. This evening we went to our church for a young adults with children group. SOOOOOO Much Fun!!! Great food and made new friends, while others strummed their guitars and sang in the back round. Felt more like a dream than a get together. The kids had so much fun playing with their little friends and we hung out with the other parents. WOW, sure is nice to make friends with more families. We are truly blessed this year and we are not taking any of it for granted. Brendan and I are constantly saying to each other how good life is now.

Hi guys,
Maya and I have been sitting here for an hour or so putting together
a slide show for the blog. We hope you enjoy the show. Yes, they are both out of
order, Maya did a
great job putting it all together. She is doing well today and will return to
school tomorrow. It has been a nice family day for us all. We had curry
with flat bread for dinner. THE KIDS LOVED IT!!! Brendan and I are so proud of them.
These past few weeks have been stressful in nursing school (
TEST,TEST,TEST) but the kids make it easier to deal with. When we pick the kids
up from school we try to go somewhere fun. Brendan and I wish we could
hold onto this week forever; we have had so much fun with the kids. I
am doing very well. Brendan set up the perfect office for me in our Attic. Well we need to
get the small fries in bed now. Love to you all.

Another day,
All is well today. I had a long day at school. Lookin forward to having time off for the holidays. I do have three tests right after Thanksgiving. They think they are doing us a favor by giving tests the day you come back from Holiday. Oh well, still loving it.
Brendan may soon be a high school biology teacher. The principal of the school called today and wants to set up an interview. He really wants this job so we will keep our fingers crossed. He will be teaching Biology.
Well, I am a walking zombie. I better get some ZZZZZ. Neil I love you and hope all is well.

After Halloween

Halloween
was perfect!
The kids both had Halloween parades at their school. Grammy, Grandbob and Uncle Jerry
were all hear for the holiday. We went trick or treating with all the kids and
parents in our neighborhood. Sure is great watching this neighborhood fill
up with kids. WOW!! I wish I could have made that day last longer. We had
so much fun with the kiddos. I dressed up for clinical that day as
well. So much fun.
Now i am back to the grind. I have not had two seconds to spare
since Halloween.
I apologise to everyone for not keeping in touch. We are getting bombarded with end of
semester projects and tests. Everything is comprehensive which makes it quite
stressful. I am still loving it. Sleep is a luxury lately.

Hello all,
I posted a few new pictures. Sorry, so little, but I tend to be blogging in the middle of the night. Maya is having a sleepover this evening upstairs with grandma. Brendan, Van and I went out to dinner and hung out. It was an enjoyable family evening. Maya had a bike rodeo at school this week so she was happy as pie. Little Van takes a train to show and tell every week. We are all doing well. Busy, Busy, but we are having a lot of fun along the way. I keep saying this is my favorite age of the kids, but each year gets better. I am sad that Van is now looking more and more like a kid and loosing his baby belly and legs, but it is so exciting, listening to his stories. Believe it or not he likes to tell long stories like Maya does. He still has his shy moments but they are both so unique. Maya is a fashion addict. She loves to wear every pattern possible in one outfit. When she walks through the door at school she always gets lots of comments on her outfit choices. She is such a confident girl. Van has a knack for fashion as well, he loves to play dress up as much as his sister. So he picks out some interesting clothes as well.

Hello all,
I have missed blogging for all of you. Nursing school has been taking up all of my waking hours. I must say, I still can not believe that I am actually in nursing school. Baker School of Nursing has been a wonderful experience so far. I am still trying to figure out how to get it all done, but the other nursing students say this feeling will never pass. Oh well, I am blessed to be there, so I will try and suck it up.
The kids are doing great. They both are in school and can't wait to get there in the morning. We are so proud of them. This has been one of those weekends that we wish we could hold onto forever. We had a great family weekend. We have all laughed so hard we cried and just enjoyed going out and playing. I wish I could explain to you the awesome weekend with the kids. I am to tiered to get into it all at the moment.
I need to get some sleep now. It is 1 a.m. Goodnight all.

Hello all:
I have lived at the college for three days now;and I am worn out. Yesterday I was here all day ; first I took an Algebra final then onto Ethics class until 10:30p.m.. By the time I pulled into Topeka it was 11:30p.m.
Brendan and Maya drove to Michigan two days ago for Brendan's grandmother's funeral. Van stayed behind with me, I do not think a three year old will sit through a funeral, and I am not letting the entire family go away. Yes, I have separation issues from my kiddos and husband. Anyway I called Brendan late last night and Maya sounded like she was having a ball in the back round. They were staying in a hotel. Maya is in heaven because both her uncle's are also there to spoil her. So she was giggling the in the back round the entire phone call. I miss them to much and can not wait to see them in a few more days,
I am here at the college taking ethics all weekend, so I dropped Van off this morning and off to school for 10 hours of ethics class. I will be back here tomorrow, but thankfully that will be the last day. I am so tiered I know I could take the best nap of my life if they would let me lay on the computer lab floor. All my classes are going well, so nothing really to complain about.
I got a bunch of vaccinations this week as well so my are feels like I have been lifting weights. It is all worth the privilege to go to nursing school.

Today-
I had a great day with the children. It was a rainy day in Kansas. The kids and I decided to go see a movie at the dollar theater. Our friends Hannah, and Ryan joined us as well. We went and saw Meet The Robinson's. It was a fun computer animated movie. I am lucky to have an excuse to go and enjoy kids movies in the theater. Sitting in between the kids at the movie theater, laughing or getting a little spooked can be stress relieving. Actually, to top that feeling being in a theater full of little kids is good medication for the soul. Brendan, had a good work day. He is putting the kids to bed at the moment. When he reads the children books you can hear him from anywhere in the house. Daddy really gets into the book with the kids. Maya, enjoys chapter books, it amazes me how long she will sit and listen to a story. Any kind of mystery she can get someone to read her. If you walked in our front door at this moment you would be hearing a book about peeing and pooping. This is Little Van's favorite book, he requests every night. Well I guess we can not complain he has been potty trained for quite some time now. Another great day!!

Hi all,
It is 10:30pm and both the kids are in bed with me. Van is fast asleep, but Maya is holding out. We are watching a water rescue on the weather channel. I love these moments with the kids.
They had a big day today. I studied for finals most of the day and they went out to the museum with Brendan and their friends Blake and Jeremy. When they got home we had their parents over and hung out for awhile. The kids had a great time in the back yard catching lightning bugs. We are really going to miss them when they move next weekend. Brendan is over their house getting papers looked at for work.
Well I must get back to storm stories with Maya. Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite.

Kids everywhere, laughing, playing with trains, a little whining and knock knock jokes. This explains today so far. The kids are thrilled to death right now. We are still helping our Friends out so they can get packed to move. We have their two boys this evening and two more boys to add. Maya is so excited, Brendan brought water balloons to play hot potato with and got the sprinkler set up to run through. I picked up three pizzas for Brendan to cook for them. Yes, Brendan is on duty this evening. I have school this evening till 10pm. I am sure this will not be a surprise to you all, but I think Brendan is just as excited about the water balloons as the kids and the sprinkler. Maya and Van are so lucky to have the coolest dad around. I have Ethics class all weekend long. YUCK!!! I will let you know how it goes.

Big Test Day

Hello,
I hope all of you are doing well. We were in
survival mode at our house today. I had two tests, one in statistics and one in
algebra. I got a 98 on my stats exam. Yippee. I do not know yet about algebra. Brendan was
Mr. Mom today so I could have time to get through the two exams. He will
make up his work day this weekend.
Maya is still enjoying camp. She will go to the
zoo tomorrow and have a picnic lunch. Life could not be better for her. Van, is
growing. I went to bed last night and I swear he grew overnight.

some sleep.

Well everyone,
It is three a.m. in the morning and I am having a hard time sleeping. Mostly due to an annoying cough. I am feeling much better and got rid of my sinus infection with medication. I hope the cough goes soon too.

Hello everyone,
I apologise for not updating the blog lately. I have tons of school work to catch up on since I have been sick. Keep checking in hopefully I will have a few moments this evening before bed. No promises though.
Maya had another great day at camp and van is hanging out with a good friend today. We are going to be gaining more children for the weekend as well. We are helping out our dear friends so they can pack. They are moving away and we will really miss them. Maya and Van will truly miss them as well. Their children went to school with Maya and Van loves playing with them as well. We can remember what it was like to try and pack with the small fries around. You pack one box and they unpack it.
Well I must get back to studying. Brendan is doing awesome. I am so proud of him in many ways. Love you honey.

It's a hot one here today. Mommy has had a cold
and spent much of the week trying to get better. On antibiotics now should
be feeling better soon. Maya, starts summer camp tomorrow and can hardly wait
till then. She will be swimming and learning about safety. She went last year
and had a blast. Van has grown so much this month. His little baby legs and
tummy are disappearing. He is getting taller and can argue
with his sister perfectly now.
This summer has gone by so quickly.
We have had a lot of fun swimming, making new friend, hanging out with old
friends, parties and good food. There is nothing better than that. We are truly blessed this
summer and looking forward to many more.
Well we need to get the small
fries down for a nap!!!!!!!!!!

These Next few pictures are dedicated to a great
Uncle and Brother. Neil, we love you more than you will ever know. You have
shared so much of your life with us all. Thank you for being there for me even
when, life was not treating either of us very well. The biggest Thank you is
for opening your heart and letting me become your sister. Thank you for
every phone call you took with me crying or excited on the other end.
Thank you for letting me be your sister and never making me feel, I was
less than your sister. I love you, I love you, I love you, Keep
yourself as safe as possible and know that you are in my thoughts
everyday. We have both grown and changed quite a bit these past few years,
but that does not matter, every time I see you it is as if we see each other all the
time
.

Thank you for taking your niece and nephew out
for the time of their lives. Maya and Little Van still talk about bowling with
Uncle Neil and how you were the one to teach them how to bowl.

Neil, you have a head made of steel, and a heart
bigger than many people know. I know that you feel confident with your trip to
the desert, as you call it. It weighs heavy on my heart that you are going to
war. Try and keep in touch as much as possible and bring your hard head
back here to us. I love you a million times over, keep safe, and remember
to say your prayers. We will be saying them constantly for you and I know
your mom will have you on every prayer list she can. Hey
those prayers work look at me.

Uncle Neil and Maya having a delightful time
playing a game together. Maya and Neil have a connection that is so cute
to watch. When Maya was about two years old we forgot to bring her night
gown to Lynda's house. So Lynda put one of Uncle Neil's T shirts on Maya. Ever since then, when we put her in a large T shirt to sleep
in, she calls it her Uncle Neil nightgown. She passed this on to Little
Van as well, so he calls them Uncle Neil nightgowns
too.

Uncle Neil and Aunt Gina, took the kids out bowling for their first
time. This was so much fun. The kids wanted all of Neils tips on
bowling. He even got Maya to bowl like a big girl instead of just rolling
the ball down the alley.

Now, Little Van's ball would take so long to get
down the alley so they would both just sit there and wait to
cheer.

Jackpot!!! This is what Little Van was thinking
when Uncle Neil and Aunt Gina got him the coolest Thomas the Tank Engine
track for Christmas. This was Little van's dream come true. This
train set is motorized, with bridges and bus routs and helicopters that fly.
WOW!! Uncle Neil and Big Van made sure the track was put together
right away for Little Van. Watching all three guys having
so much fun putting the track together was a hoot.

They got the track built and Little Van was in heaven. Uncle Neil
spent a great deal of time making sure Little Van knew how all the gadgets and
gizmo's worked. Big Van had fun sending a train or two around as
well.

Oh, yes I could not leave this pic out. This is
Little Van in a trance when he opened the train set. Thank you Uncle Neil and
Aunt Gina.

of our old favorites. We decided, we would do this every now and then;
when we forget the camera. Hope you enjoy them, you will see more.

few things Maya will sit still for; Big Van reading to her is one of

Van was born. We took him to church so Maya could show him off!!!

Lorie was there for the birth of both our children. This is Lorie, getting

Well, this has been a busy weekend full of fun. The bad news is I forgot the camera everywhere we went. So here are some of our old favorites. I know that you will enjoy these just as much. Love to you all.

Here is Maya age three. She is hunting for Easter eggs in the most beautiful Easter dress. She picked out the flowers in her hair all by herself. Yes, Maya had an opinion at age three. That's our girl. She had more fun watching the other kids run and dive for eggs that year than finding them for herself. We made sure she got some eggs too.
Little Van, in Martinez Georgia at Papa and Grand mamma's house. We were there for dads heart surgery. Which went very well. Here is Van opening his gifts on their bed. He loved that winter hat; lucky for us it fit for quite some time. March 2006

We had a garden party; so we had to plant flowers. The kids all got their own pair of garden gloves, and painted pots. This was so much fun!!!!

Here is the cake. A hat for a garden party. This was Maya's idea. It was so much fun putting it all together. The top part of the had was so large that it took three hours to cook. The frosting was made with banana pudding and cool whip. Oh and yes the cake was chocolate!!
Sorry, it has taken me so long to get these pics up for you. I
have been slammed with homework and tests lately.

We served breakfast first! Pancakes with any topping you could imagine (i.e. blueberries, strawberries, powdered sugar, pickles, hot peppers, and so on) Grammy was the best she cooked all the pancakes so that we could greet all our party guest. Thank you Grammy Michigan.
We sat everyone at one table, even the parents were welcome. We all had a yummy breakfast. Those are fake rose pedals on the table. It is hard to see, but Uncle Jerry stayed up late the night before putting tons of streamers above the table. Thank you uncle GEEEE!!
All the kids playing outside in our backyard on the new swing set. Daddy and Lance got this baby up in two days. WOW!! The kids had so much fun playing.

Happy Father's Day!!! To our very special dad's. We had a great father's day
here in Kansas.
We went to church this morning and then out to Breakfast with some of our best
friends . There is nothing better than days like this one. We are
blessed to have all the great dad's in our lives; and that we have one of our
own. Maya and Van are so lucky to have the best Dad ever.

I have so much I could say about how great of a father Brendan is, but the
smiles on their faces tells it all. They spent the day with dad at the swim
beach in Topeka Kansas. So
much fun and giggles with Dad

Thank you Brendan, for being the perfect dad to our children. I would not
ask you to change a thing. You are the fun dad that everyone wants on the
playground. You are the dad that has all the snuggles in the world. Thank
you for sharing your life with me, thank you for being such a great dad to our
kids that is the most romantic thing I could ever ask for. I love you
honey, HAPPY FATHER"S DAY!

To chill out this afternoon we rocked out with Ray Charles. Here is Maya bebop in around. I am sure many of these moves were learned from Lynda. We are doing the Mess Around. Maya loves to dance and do gymnastics. She likes to mix the two. She has great rhythm. I wish you could hear her sing a little
Ray Charles.
Maya, is now showing Van how to break dance in this picture. Van is trying to watch very closely.
Now Van has joined in the fun. We are bringing the house down. Whoooo can you feel the beat. Take some time out of your day to dance to Ray Charles. Will cure any bad day.

Maya just found out that her Grammy and Grandbob are
coming to her birthday party. We are planning some real fun four her fifth

Good morning all. Van and mya are putting a puzzel together before
breakfast. Maya trys hard to teach van how it all works out. He has most of the
peices of this one memorized. I am not sure he understands how it works, but he
does know how to put it together with some help.

GOOD MORNING!!! Maya and mommy are ready to start the day. What are we going to
do today? It is raining outside and a bit warm. Maya wants to go swimming
at the YMCA and do an art project.

GOOD MORNING Van! Van still sleeping will he ever wake up. AHHH yes, I
hear tiny feet coming down the steps now. I will wait to ask him what he
wants to do today. He is off to the potty. He wants me to tell you he loves
bananas!!

June 12, 2007, Goodnight all, we have had a big day. Lessons for the day are; do not look for helicopters while driving. Always bring wipes to the ice cream stand. Do not pick up second base and run down the street with it. Some times ice cream just tastes better from the bottom of the cone. Statistics and algebra are my friend!!!!! HAHAHAHAH!!! Daddy is the smartest man who knows everything about everything a three year old and four year old need to know. Thank goodness for this, or mommy would be at a loss for words. To end our evening we went out to have custard at G's.
Lucky for us the fire department was there as well. Summer time is off to a
great start. Having the kids home together during the day has turned out
to be a great adventure. Van has something new to say everyday.

Maya's smile, as good as sunshine on a cloudy day. She is
such a character and ball of fun. If you have an imagination she can take you
anywhere you want to go.
